Martha's Vineyard---Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Maine

Yesterday we found a very reasonably priced ferry to take us to Martha's Vineyard.  We drove onto Cape Cod, found our ferry and enjoyed the 45 minute cruise to Martha's Vineyard. (Vineyard Haven & Edgartown).  I have quite a few pictures to post but no time to do it today.  We had a terrible time finding a motel last night/this morning.  We looked for at least three hours, made numerous stops, and phone calls.  No rooms at the inns around here!  And if we would find one room available, it was way out of our price range.  We finally stopped at a Ramada at 12:45, so tired we basically fell into bed!  It, too, was more than we wanted to pay but it was becoming dangerous for us to keep driving because we were all so tired.
It is a very nice motel (one I could get used to!) and we decided not to set any alarms and get a later start this morning.

We are in Maine now and not sure what our plans are for the day.

Today, 25 years ago, I married my best friend and he is still my best friend!  Knowing we were celebrating our 25th anniversary this week, my heart has been thanking God for a faithful, Godly, loving, patient, good-looking, best-friend husband.   Words can hardly express my thanksgiving to God knowing that not everyone has been given what I have.  I am looking forward to many more happy years with him.

Update on Dad:
Yesterday they put a scope into his heart to check for bloodclots.  They found a blood clot on the left side of his heart.  They said it could take 5-6 weeks for the body to absorb it.  They could not shock his heart to stop the fibrilation for fear the clot would dislodge.  Today they plan to do a heart cath to see if there is any blockage.  Dad is not a hospital person and is never happier than when he is out in the woods or nature, so lying in a hospital bed is a trial for him.  He wants to go home but the doctor said not before at the earliest.  Mom is staying in his room with him and is looking forward to having him home again, too.  Thank you for keeping them in your prayers.
